Identify 20% Hidden Capacity in Your Engineering Org
Powered by the Velocity Graph™ Engine. The automated audit tool that pinpoints bottlenecks, risks, and knowledge silos in 15 minutes. No manual data entry. No complex setup.
Not ready to connect your data? See exactly what you'll get:
The 3 "Silent Killers" of Engineering Velocity
Most engineering leaders feel these pains daily but lack the data to prove them.
The "Black Box" Problem
You know budget is going in, but you can't explain why features aren't coming out faster. When the Board asks "Why is this late?", you have to rely on anecdotes instead of data.
The "Review Tax"
Your developers spend days waiting for code reviews. It's an invisible tax on your velocity that doesn't show up in Jira, but it drains 20-30% of your team's capacity.
The Hidden "Bus Factor"
Critical knowledge is siloed in the heads of 1-2 senior engineers. If they leave tomorrow, key parts of your system become unmaintainable. You won't know until it's too late.
How the 15-Minute Audit Works
We analyze your metadata, not your source code. Safe, secure, and instant.
1. Connect GitHub
Secure, read-only access via official GitHub OAuth. Your code stays yours - we never clone your repository or read your files.
2. The Velocity Graph™
Our proprietary engine maps the hidden friction between code and collaboration to find exactly where budget is leaking.
3. Get Your Report
Receive your Engineering Health Score, Board-Ready slides, and a list of specific bottlenecks to fix.
Not Just Data. A Complete Management System.
Most tools give you a dashboard and wish you luck. We give you the exact scripts, playbooks, and templates you need to actually drive change.
The "Anti-Surveillance" Rollout Script
Word-for-word email templates and talk tracks to introduce metrics to your team without causing a revolt. Frame it as "unblocking," not "watching."
The Velocity Playbook
A "If This, Then That" guide for engineering managers. "If Cycle Time > 48h, do X." "If Review Ratio < 0.8, do Y." Stop guessing what to fix.
Board-Ready Slide Templates
Pre-formatted slide decks that match our data exports. Just copy-paste your new metrics and walk into your next board meeting with confidence.

Your Code Stays Yours
We take security seriously. Here's exactly what we access - and what we don't.
Read-Only Access
We cannot modify your code, PRs, or repository settings.
Data Encrypted
Encrypted at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, tokens encrypted with Fernet.
You Control Access
Choose exactly which repositories to analyze.
Delete Anytime
One-click removal of all your data.
What We Access
- Pull request metadata (titles, authors, timestamps)
- Commit history (SHA, timestamps, statistics)
- Review activity (who reviewed, when, approval status)
- Review comments, plus the short snippet GitHub attaches to an inline comment
- Repository structure (names, branches)
What We Never Access
- Your source files - we never read or clone them
- Secrets or environment variables
- Private keys or credentials
- Write access to anything
"Wait, why is this audit free?"
"Honestly, we know that 20% of leaders who see their hidden bottlenecks through our Velocity Graph™ will want our help to fix them continuously. We're betting that by giving you massive value upfront, some of you will eventually become partners. If not, you still get a world-class report to help your team ship better. It's a win-win."

Common Questions
Quick answers before you connect
We use read-only OAuth access to GitHub. We read pull request metadata, commit history, and review activity. Your code stays yours: we never clone your repository or read your files. The only code we store is the short snippet GitHub attaches to an inline review comment, which is how we measure review quality. We never receive secrets, environment variables, or write permissions, and you can revoke access at any time from your GitHub settings.
There isn't one. CodePulse is free up to 10 developers, with no credit card and no expiry. Teams that want ongoing visibility across a larger organization upgrade to a paid plan, and that is the whole business - not selling your data, not ads, just software subscriptions. Pricing is one flat price per organization rather than per seat, so it does not rise every time you hire. Even if you never pay us a cent, you'll walk away with genuine insights about your engineering organization.
This is the most common concern we hear, and honestly - most teams welcome it. CodePulse shows team-level patterns, not individual surveillance metrics. There's no keystroke tracking, no screen time, no individual scoring. What engineers actually see is where their PRs get stuck, who's overloaded with reviews, and whether the process is working. Those are frustrations they already have - CodePulse just makes them visible. Several of our teams were set up by the engineers themselves, not management.
You can build a dashboard. The work is everything after that: cycle time split into four phases from real timestamps, sentiment and quality scoring on review comments, review network graphs, knowledge silo and file hotspot detection, Monte Carlo forecasting, an 8-type risk system, plus watermark-based incremental sync, ETag caching and rate-limit handling so the API does not throttle you. Then you own it - GitHub API changes, edge cases, and the backlog of metrics nobody has time to add. Most teams find their engineers have better things to build.
Installing the CodePulse app on a work GitHub organization usually needs an owner's approval. Start the connection either way: if approval is needed, we give you a link to send to an owner, and your setup resumes the moment they approve. You do not need to be an admin to begin, and nothing is synced until the install is approved.
The price does not move with your headcount. Paid plans are one flat price per organization rather than per contributor or per seat, so hiring is a non-event on the bill - which is the opposite of how most of this category prices. You can see the tiers and what each includes on the pricing page before you connect anything.
Within 5 minutes of connecting, you'll see your Engineering Health Score and basic metrics. We automatically sync up to 6 months of historical data, so trends and comparisons are available immediately. Data refreshes automatically every 15 minutes after that.
See the five minutes, timestampedYes! CodePulse works with both public and private repositories. The OAuth permissions work the same way - we only access the repositories you explicitly choose to connect, and we maintain the same strict read-only access and encryption standards.
You have full control. You can delete all your organization's data with one click from the settings page. You can also revoke OAuth access directly from GitHub (Settings > Applications > Authorized OAuth Apps). Once deleted, your data is permanently removed from our systems.
